We came from God<\/strong> our Father in Heaven<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To live like God<\/strong> as Jesus lived on Earth, and then<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Return back to God<\/strong> our Father in Heaven forever<\/p>\n\n\n\n

just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In love\u2026He predestined and lovingly planned for us to be adopted to Himself as [His own] children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the kind intention and good pleasure of His will\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[1]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus came up and said to them, \u201cAll authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[2]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now Jesus called together the twelve [disciples] and gave them [the right to exercise] power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[3]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor\u2014Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), <\/p>\n\n\n\n

to be with you forever\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have told you these things while I am still with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Helper <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor\u2014Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf],<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

not as the world gives do I give to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[4]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Listen carefully:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[5]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus answered them, \u201cIs it not written in your Law, \u2018I said, you are gods [human judges representing God, not divine beings]\u2019?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If He called them gods, men to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be undone or annulled or broken),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[if that is true] then do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and set apart for Himself and sent into the world, \u2018You are blaspheming,\u2019 because I said, \u2018I am the Son of God\u2019?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[6]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For it is [not your strength, but it is]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
