{"id":686,"date":"2026-09-16T02:01:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T06:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kingdomworth.org\/?p=686"},"modified":"2026-09-16T02:01:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T06:01:12","slug":"orientation-into-abbas-family","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kingdomworth.org\/?p=686","title":{"rendered":"Orientation into Abba&#8217;s Family"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Dictionary.com, the definition of orientation is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">orientation<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>American &nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[awr-ee-<em>uh<\/em>n-<strong>tey<\/strong>-sh<em>uh<\/em>n, -en-, ohr-]\/ \u02cc\u0254r i \u0259n\u02c8te\u026a \u0283\u0259n, -\u025bn-, \u02cco\u028ar- \/<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">noun<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">orientations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">the act or process of orienting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the state of being oriented.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">an introduction, as to guide one in adjusting to new surroundings, employment, activity, or the like. <em>New employees receive two days of orientation.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><em>Psychology, Psychiatry.<\/em> the ability to locate oneself in one&#8217;s environment with reference to time, place, and people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">one&#8217;s position in relation to true north, to points on the compass, or to a specific place or object.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the ascertainment of one&#8217;s true position, as in a novel situation, with respect to attitudes, judgments, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking phrases from definition 3-6, orientation is a guide that helps one adjust to new surroundings, it gives one the ability to locate oneself in their environment in relation to true north or true position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we become part of Abba Father&#8217;s Kingdom family through salvation by Christ Jesus, the next step we take is to sign up for a season of orientation with Holy Spirit as our Guide.  Holy Spirit trains us on what it means to be part of Jesus&#8217; Family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We adapt Jesus&#8217; Family mentality so that we can think like Him, speak like Him, walk like Him, create like Him, love like Him, heal like Him, deliver like Him, have dominion like Him and for some, die like Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the terms used for Kingdom orientation is discipleship.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A disciple is a follower.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%2011%3A28%2D30&amp;version=AMP\"><em>Matthew 11:28-30 AMP<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>28\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cCome to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>29\u00a0<\/sup>Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>30\u00a0<\/sup>For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke%209%3A23&amp;version=AMP\">Luke 9:23<\/a>, Matthew 16:24<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And He was saying to them all, \u201cIf anyone wishes to <strong>follow Me<\/strong> [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and <br>take up his cross daily [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and <strong>follow Me<\/strong> [believing in <strong>Me<\/strong>, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in <strong>Me<\/strong>].<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John%208%3A12&amp;version=AMP\"><em>John 8:12<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, \u201cI am the Light of the world. <br>He who <strong>follow<\/strong>s <strong>Me<\/strong> will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holy Spirit is the Teacher of Kingdom Family orientation.  He will walk with you for the rest of Your life.  You do not have to be an expert.  Holy Spirit is THE Expert.
