Isaiah 40 – Deliverance, Salvation of Israel
The Nature of God in Isaiah 40 Revealed
Comfort! Comfort My people! says your God. v1
A voice announces: In the desert, clear the path for the LORD! Make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God! v3
Every valley will be raised and every mountain and hill will be made low, and the crooked will be made straight, and the mountain peaks a plain. v4
the Glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together, for the Mouth of the LORD has spoken it. v5
Do not be awed! v9
Behold, Adonai, the LORD will come with might and His Arm will rule for Him. v10
He will feed His flock like a Shepherd.
He will gather the lambs with His Arms and carry them in His bosom, and will gently lead those that are with young. v11
Have you not heard, the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint nor is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. v28
He gives power to the faint and to those who have no might He increases strength. v29
but they that wait upon The LORD will renew their strength.
They will mount up with wings as eagles.
They will run and not be weary,
They will walk and not grow faint. v31
